SB 1325 - Prohibits Public Funding of Abortion

Prohibits the use of public funds, tax monies of the state or any political subdivision of the state, or federal funds relating to the state treasury to pay for premiums or charges associated with a health insurance policy, contract or plan that provides for the performance of an abortion, unless the abortion is required to save the life of the woman or prevent substantial or irreversible harm.

HB 2142 - Prohibits Sale of Human Eggs

Prohibits buying, selling or proposing a sale or purchase of a human egg for the purpose of cloning a human or a human somatic cell a crime.

HB 2254 - Fetal Pain

Requires a doctor to inform any woman who is at least twenty weeks pregnant and seeks an abortion that the unborn child/fetus will experience pain during the procedure. If the woman has received pain reducing drugs she is required to sign a written statement acknowledging that she has received this information from her doctor. Any physician that violates these provisions commits an act of unprofessional conduct and is subject to license suspension.
